Indian cuisine is known for its sophisticated and subtle use of many herbs and spices. At Saffron, we offer some of the cuisine's most popular dishes prepared fresh daily using recipes developed by acclaimed chef Bhupender Singh. We use only the finest all-natural ingredients.

We only use fresh, all-natural chicken - never frozen. Depending on the dish, we marinate the chicken for hours, grill it, or slowly cook it before simmering it in one of Chef Singh's signature sauces. To prepare our tandoori chicken, we marinate the chicken for hours in yogurt and spices before cooking it on skewers in a traditional clay tandoor oven. This classic cooking method yields moist and delicious chicken that is also very healthy, as tandoori cooking does not involve the use of any added oils.

We use freshly peeled ginger to flavor our sauces and in our chicken marinades. The herb is very low in calories and has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help treat nausea and other illnesses. Ginger also increases cardiovascular circulation.

We prepare Aloo Gobi every day with fresh cauliflower that we lightly season with garlic, ginger, onions, and a blend of traditional Indian spices. Cauliflower is a nutritionally dense vegetable that is low in fat and carbohydrates but high in vitamin C, folate, and fiber.

We use turmeric in our sauces and marinades for both its rich taste and deep yellow color. It is a ground spice that is rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, and dietary fiber. It is also a good source of Vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium.

Chef Singh's delicate saag recipe consists of chopped spinach flavored with garlic, ginger, onions, and a blend of Indian spices. Spinach is iron-rich and a good source of Vitamin C, folate, beta carotene. It is also one of the highest food sources of Vitamin K, necessary for normal clotting of the blood. Tofu Tikka Masala, our vegetarian rendition of Chicken Tikka Masala, is prepared daily using fresh tofu that we lightly season and then simmer in Chef Singh's rich tomato sauce. Tofu is a protein-rich food containing all essential amino acids. It is low in saturated fat and contains no cholesterol. It is also a good source of calcium.

The bay leaf is used to flavor our dishes as it relieves the need for salt and sugar and is low in calories. Many of its benefits are released into the food during the cooking process. It is a good source of iron, manganese, vitamin A, and vitamin C.

Our Channa Masala is prepared daily using chickpeas that we simmer in Chef Singh's savory tomato sauce. Chickpeas are an excellent source of protein and fiber. They provide thiamin and vitamin B6 as well as folate. They are also a good source of calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus.

Cinnamon is also used to flavor some of Chef Singh's sauces. It is a sweet spice derived from barks of the Cinnamon tree. It is naturally low in calories and a good source of vitamins C, K, and manganese.

Chef Singh's signature yellow daal is made from four varieties of lentils that we import directly from India. Lentils are a low-fat source of protein containing both soluble and insoluble fiber, which improves digestive health. They are also good source of iron, potassium, magnesium, and folate.

Jalapeno peppers are used in some of Chef Singh's seasonings and chutneys. They are rich in vitamin C and capsaicin, which has anti-inflammatory properties and helps lower cholesterol.

We prepare Saag Paneer daily simmering fresh paneer in Chef Singh's delicate saag recipe. Paneer is a type of cottage cheese that is often substituted for meat in many Indian dishes. It is high in protein, calcium, and phosphorus.

Red chili peppers are among the ingredients in our homemade chili blend. The capsaicin in chili peppers produces mild to intense spice when eaten and helps fights inflammation and reduce blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels. It also helps boost immunity with its high content of beta-carotene and Vitamin A.
