BHUPENDER SINGH is Executive Chef at Saffron, where he has successfully introduced authentic and flavorful Indian cooking into a contemporary fast casual dining environment.

Born and raised in New Delhi, Chef Singh is one of the most accomplished and innovative Indian chefs working in America today. He developed his craft at the renowned Bukhara in New Delhi, regularly named the best Indian restaurant in the world, and twice selected by prestigious British food journal Restaurant as the top restaurant in all of Asia. He has studied with several notable Indian chefs including Madhu Wadhwani, Madan Lal Jaswal, Gev Desai, M. Imitiaz Qureshi and Mohammad Naseem. Chef Singh is also classically trained in French and Italian cuisine.

He currently lives in the resort community of Monterey with his wife and two sons where he is the owner of Aabha Indian Cuisine, often recognized as the best Indian restaurant in the region.
